Dental Bonding
Tigard, OR

Did you ever bond with someone, instantly? Sometimes, bonding is simple. Maybe you and a friend came from the same hometown. You might have traveled to the same places as a person you meet at an airport. You can also bond with someone talking about your favorite restaurant, or how much you love the food. Bonding with someone can be really quick - such as an instant attraction to someone you barely know. Bonding can even be a moment in time that lasts forever.

Not only do people enjoy bonding, but it is also good for their teeth as well. You want your teeth to look and feel as good as the day they popped up from your gumline. When something happens, and you need to get a part of your tooth fixed - you can establish a new look to your tooth through the bonding process. Keep reading while Lincoln Center Smiles tells you more about bonding. Bonding can help you keep your teeth beautiful for years to come.

Bonding is a cosmetic dentistry process that we use to fix spots on your teeth that were damaged, or that you don’t like. Bonding is a composite material. We can use bonding to cover up all kinds of problem areas in our teeth. The composite material used for bonding is made of a material that is the same color as your natural tooth. That means we can use the composite material in bonding to fix all kinds of tooth issues without anyone knowing you had any issues with your teeth at all.

Uses for Bonding

We use bonding to correct places on your teeth that are not perfect. Sometimes, you were born with an imperfection that you don’t like, such as a gap between your two front teeth. With bonding, we can fix the gap without expensive surgery. Bonding can also fix teeth that have been dinged up because of an accident or injury. Maybe you chipped a tooth when you bit down on a soft drink can, for example. Your little brother might have chipped your tooth when he hit you with a snowball. Composite can be used to give your chip a normal tooth shape again. Bonding also can be used to fix fractures or cracks in your teeth. If you clench or grind your teeth frequently due to TMJ issues, you might develop cracks or fractures. Bonding can fix the cracks in your tooth.

In some cases, bonding can be used to fix a discolored tooth. You may have a tooth that was injured playing football, for example. While we were able to save the tooth without needing an extraction, it is no longer the same color as your other teeth. Bonding can restore the natural look of your tooth.

Bonding is one of the easiest procedures we do. We simply work with you to select a color of the bonding material. We then use the bonding material to fix the problem. It is painless and takes only a few minutes. If you have a cracked, chipped, or broken tooth, why not talk to Lincoln Center Smiles today about bonding? Give us a call at (503) 598-0898.
